Jupiter Waterway Trail
Another great option for water travel is the Jupiter Waterway Trail. Choose either a canoe or a kayak, and you can traverse this nearly 40-mile waterway, looking at the vegetation and local creature populations as you go. You’d hardly keep track of the time because of the gorgeous sights down the secluded trail.
Harbourside Place Garage
Driving to the top of the Harbourside parking lot will give you excellent views of the Jupiter skyline. Although the garage itself is not overly spectacular in appearance, the unforgettable overlook of the town will provide the best images at either sunrise or sunset, catching the colors of the sky against the darkened palm trees.
Pier at Guanabanas
The tropical colors and atmosphere at the Guanabanas pier will make you feel like you are in the Caribbean. Take in the docked boats on a background of palm trees, colorful chairs, and the beautiful Florida sunset, and you will feel like you have stepped into either a postcard or paradise.
Eagle Trail
Eagle Trail is a loop in Grassy Waters Preserve that circles the Gator Lake. The trail takes you through the tropical hammock of the preserve to an overlook of the wet prairies at the Loxahatchee Slough. If you enjoy fishing or bird watching, the Eagle Trail is a perfect path for these activities. Also, you may see some alligators in the aptly named Gator Lake, so be sure to keep your eyes open and your attention on the path.
Juno Dunes Natural Area
Near Jupiter is the Juno Dunes Natural Area, a place of remarkable botanical diversity. From the sea turtle rehabilitation center at the local Loggerhead Park to hiking the Juno Dunes East and Juno Dunes West trails, there are plenty of opportunities to see local flora and fauna. Along these hikes, you will witness a small scrub forest on a downhill slope that transitions into a taller patch of trees surrounding a basin marsh. Next, you will find yourself on soft sand surrounded by tall pines and tarflowers. As you go a little farther, you will find yourself at the ocean, watching the cattails waving in the breeze between the dunes.
You don’t have to go far to enjoy beautiful sceneries. In Palm Beach County alone, you will find beautiful waterways, scenic grassy nature trails, and breathtaking views of the ocean.
