Blue Friends’ Society Beach Clean-Up
The exciting event of a beach clean-up will take place on 16th January from 8pm till 9pm. This one hour clean-up program will involve cleaning trash and debris from the beachside and then a light breakfast treat after returning to the Loggerhead Marine Life Center.
The Juno Beach Pier Trip
This exotic destination offers stunning opportunities of saltwater fishing and amazing beach views thirty minutes before sunrise till sunset. This complete pier house offers a cordial guest service team, several fishing tackle, snack bar, and rental bait and poles.
Scuba Diving Through Loggerhead Marine Life Center
LMC hosts the finest scuba diving in Jupiter, Florida. The Jupiter Dive Center gives you exhilarating opportunities to explore the magnificent coral reefs, wrecks and ridges. The warm tropical waters make it possible for the scuba diving sessions to continue throughout the year and the divers seek the exotic pleasures of seeing Goliath Grouper, sharks and turtles.
Mommy And Me Paint!
This knowledgeable program introduces basic biology and sea turtle conservation to young minds. The program starts with a specific sea-themed story and a practical biofact lesson which is followed by a playful painting activity. The young kids can also take their painted turtles to their homes along with valuable information on sea turtles.
Fish Feeding
This astounding fish feeding event takes place in the exhibit center and the participants are given a trip to explore Florida’s splendid ecosystems. People get a full view of the interesting and unique sea creatures inhabiting the aquariums. Valuable information about the food choices and feeding behaviors of different fishes, anemones and corals is also provided.
Public Guided Tour
The public guided tour is an exciting event where participants are provided with a guided tour of the area under supervision of educational docents who give valuable information regarding the type of fish in the tanks, the turtle patients in the yard and so on. These tours lasts for one hour.
Hammock Hike
These adventurous hiking sessions are led by experienced naturalists and the participants are taken through the most breathtaking habitat of Florida. Participants navigate through the Natural Dune Systems and Coastal Hammocks and are amazed by the beautiful views.
Astronomy Night at LMC
In this informative and exciting event, the participants attend a lecture which is conducted by the Astronomical Society of the Palm Beach. It features the highlights of the amazing night sky including a galaxy, a planet and the constellations. After the lecture, the participants are given powerful binoculars and telescopes to get a real look at the night sky.
Jr. Vet Kids’ Lab
This state-of-the-art lab aims to instill science skills in young children and involves its participants in the rescue and release of sea turtles. The children are also informed about the general illnesses and injuries which affect the health of this endangered species.
